Publication and editorial policy

The web Manager places material on this site subject to discussing all submitted articles with the author or within Uniting Network; designating by name or pseudonym all material that is from individual members when it is not an official Uniting Network publication or opinion. Design, layout and editorial practice is the responsibility of the Web Manager.

If members supply material it is best sent by email as a Word document (.doc), leaving conversion to html by the Web Manager. Graphics are best sent as jpeg files (.jpg) or gifs (.gif). Any large, downloadable resource paper or similar article, is best supplied in Adobe (.pdf) format or in Word (.doc) format as a second choice. Rich text files are usually too big and are not recommended. As Adobe readers are free software and Word is not, pdf files are more user friendly than Word, as only those who own and operate Word can download those files from the web. Adobe allows all pdf files to be downloadable for free. It also makes changing the content of the file more difficult than is possible with Word documents.

Request for approval may be made to the Secretary.
